Here are some things you can do to fill yourself, when you are feeling stressed, exhausted, in a negative state of mind or if you feel like you’ve lost yourself in the mix of your life.
1. Make tea, drink it slowly.
2. Read a book that fills you.
3. Put a neck warmer on. (the kind you heat in the microwave.)
4. Light a candle, remove as many distractions as possible, sit and breathe. Feel your body.
5. Practice being, without any doing. Give yourself time to be able to do this.
6. Reconnect with a dear friend who knows you better than most people.
7. Go for a walk, by yourself, without a phone. Notice everything.
8. Sit by a stream and observe all that water does.
9. Go into nature and breathe it in deeply.
10. Ground yourself on some regular basis, sending your roots down into the earth, all the way to the core.
11. Do yoga or just move slowly and breathe.
12. Take a nap.
13. Get together with a friend who is like a soul sister or brother.
14. Find ways to honor yourself.
15. Love yourself.
16. Stand up for yourself.
17. Be patient with yourself.
18. Be kind and gentle with yourself.
19. Be compassionate with yourself.
20. Have a slow day with no list or agenda. Open to spontaneity.
21. Go to bed earlier.
22. Write a handwritten letter to someone you care about.
23. Create an image of yourself that you want to live. Keep it in your mind and heart.
24. Give yourself permission to do that thing you’ve been wanting to do.
25. Make a list of 10 things you appreciate about yourself.
